Glenferrie station is comprised of 3 platforms made up of 1 island and 1 side, it is an evelated station with ramps to access both platforms which can be accessed through arcades on both sides of the station.
When the station opened in April 1882 it was called 'Glenferrie Road' which was shortened to just 'Glenferrie' in September 1882. In 1996 the station was upgraded to a Premium station. Glenferrie station is also listed on the Victorian Heritage Restiger.
