Carlingford station is the end of the line for the T6. The station originally opened up as Pennant Hills in 1896 under private ownership, following financial troubles the company collapsed and the station was placed under government ownership in 1901. That same year the station was given it's current name.
The station building was rebuilt as a brick building in 1978 after the original station building was destroyed in a fire. The station itself is in the process of being converted to light rail and was demolished in May 2020.
